Career Services collaborates with other college departments, employers, and community organizations, to assist students in gaining hands-on experience to complement their academic studies as well as employment services to help students market themselves to potential employers and transfer schools.
Students can participate in applied learning experiences, such as volunteer opportunities, service-learning placements, job shadowing, and internships.
Employment services for students and alumni include information and assistance with resumes, cover letters, job searching and interview techniques.
Career Services maintains an on-line career information system,
Purple Briefcase, which allows students and alumni to upload their resume and other job search documents and receive feedback, search for local jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities, Browse online career resources, research local employers, check out upcoming Career Services events and more!
Career Services also sponsors a variety of career related events each semester, including job & internship fairs, volunteer fairs, workshops, employer campus visitations, and employer panels.
